Company history

PRONEXUS' predecessor company, Asia Shokai, was founded in December 1930 as a firm specializing in the printing of securities certificates.
Asia Securities Printing Co., Ltd. was established after the end of World War II in May 1947 under the aspiration to rebuild and further develop the Company's business portfolio. After nearly 60 years of growth and expanding its business, the company was renamed PRONEXUS Inc. on October 1, 2006.

1947 May Establishes Asia Securities Printing Co., Ltd. to engage in the printing of stock and other securities certificates (Chuo Ward, Tokyo)
Kazuo Ueno becomes President and Representative Director
1952 May Relocates its head office factory (Minato Ward, Tokyo)
1963 July Receives accreditation from each of Japan's stock exchanges as a qualified provider of stock certificate printing services
1968 Oct. Makes inroads into the business form sector
1973 Mar. Establishes the Osaka Sales Office (presently, the Osaka Branch) in order to bolster sales and marketing in the Kansai region (Tennoji Ward, Osaka)
1975 Dec. Purchases a factory building in Minato Ward, Tokyo, making it the Shimbashi No. 1 Factory specializing in the printing of stock certificates
1976 Jan. Morio Ueno becomes President and Representative Director
1978 Apr. Expands operations from a stock certificate printing company to a specialty printing company that also prints various documents related to the Commercial Code of Japan, including documents involving client company general shareholders' meetings
1985 Apr. Cultivated the segment for printing documents related to the Securities and Exchange Act of Japan, such as IPOs, financial reporting and finance, in addition to the printing of securities and documents related to the Commercial Code of Japan, expanding its operating scope as a disclosure business
Dec. Completes construction on its new head office and head office factory building (Minato Ward, Tokyo)
1986 Jan. Seeks to enhance character data processing by implementing the Integrated Publishing System (IPS)
1988 Aug. Relocates the Osaka Sales Office to Kitahama (same as current location today: Kitahama, Chuo Ward, Osaka)
1989 Dec. Establishes ASP Communications Co., Ltd. in Toyama City in order to bolster its character data processing structure (presently, a consolidated subsidiary)
1991 Jan. Establishes the Nagoya Sales Office (presently, the Nagoya Branch) in order to enhance its sales and marketing activities in the Tokai region (Naka Ward, Nagoya)
1994 July Registers its stock with the Japan Securities Dealers Association as an over-the-counter company
Dec. Establishes the Fukuoka Sales Office in order to enhance its sales and marketing activities in the Kyushu region (Chuo Ward, Fukuoka)
1995 Mar. Launches the Disclosure Practice Study Group as an organization providing information related to practical disclosure operations for clients
Oct. Establishes the Sapporo Sales Office in order to enhance its sales and marketing activities in the Hokkaido region (Chuo Ward, Sapporo)
1996 Sept. Lists its stock on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
1997 Jan. Constructs a new factory in Toyama City to expand the scale of its business operations and leases it to ASP Communications Co., Ltd., which relocates its head office to the site of the factory
1999 Mar. Establishes the Hiroshima Sales Office in order to enhance its sales and marketing activities in the Chugoku region (Naka Ward, Hiroshima)
May Establishes the ASP Information Center within ASP Communications Co., Ltd.
May Launches operations of ASPNET, a high-security two-way network for clients
2000 Apr. Security Logistics Co., Ltd. commences sales and marketing activities in order to distribute PRONEXUS products and services
2001 Mar. The facilities of the ASP Information Center established within ASP Communications Co., Ltd. are expanded in order to enhance security and capacity building
June Establishes eol, Inc. for the distribution of corporate financial information over the Internet in order to cultivate the contents business segment
2002 Aug. Establishes a2media corporation for the planning and production of IR-related tools in order to expand the IR business segment
2003 Mar. ASP Communications Co., Ltd. acquires Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification
May Launches disclosure document production system for EDINET or EDITS
June The development of IR-site production & update service "E-IR"
2004 Sept. Stock listing is transferred to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange
Oct. ASP Communications Co., Ltd. receives a fiscal 2004 TQM Encouragement Award from the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers
2005 Jan. Relocates the offices of the Osaka Branch to the Osaka Securities Exchange Building (Kitahama, Chuo Ward, Osaka)
2006 May Establishes a newly revised management philosophy and all-new code of conduct
May PRONEXUS' manufacturing department acquires ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management system
Oct. Changes its corporate name to PRONEXUS Inc.
Oct. Carves out its securities printing department to form a new company that assumes the former company name, Asia Securities Printing Co., Ltd.
Dec. Establishes joint venture company ZAIHON, INC., a translation services provider focused on financial documents
2008 Feb. Relocates its head office to Kaigan 1-chome, Minato Ward, Tokyo
Apr. Acquires company-wide ISO 27001 certification for its information security management system
May Reacquires company-wide ISO 9001 certification for its quality management system
June Introduces an executive officer system and establishes the positions of CEO and COO
July Launches services of PRONEXUS WORKS, a disclosure operations support system
2009 Apr. Launches sales of WORKS-i, a disclosure and accounting information generating system
2010 June Takeshi Ueno becomes President and Representative Director
Jul. Begins operations of Toda Plant (relocated from Minato Ward, Tokyo, to Toda City, Saitama Prefecture)
2011 June Launches services of PRONEXUS FUND DOCUMENT SYSTEM, an operations support system for investment trust firms
2012 July Begins airing PRONEXUS' "Asaichi Market Square Asazai" on Radio Nikkei
2013 Jan. Acquires Hitachi High-Technologies' corporate information database service "NEXT Yuho Kakumei" and launches new integrated database eolDB
Apr. Makes ZAIHON, Inc. a wholly -owned subsidiary to strengthen its English- language IR service capabilities (presently, a consolidated subsidiary)
Nov. Acquires shares in Mitsue-Links Co., Ltd. (now an equity-method affiliate) to strengthen its online-related businesses
Dec. Launches the new PRONEXUS WORKS, a disclosure operations support compliant with Japan's Financial Service Agency (FSA) Next Generation Electronics Disclosure for Investors' NETwork (EDINET)
2014 Aug. Establishes PRONEXUS TAIWAN Co., Ltd. in order to provide BPO Business for Japanese Companies in Taiwan (presently, a consolidated subsidiary)
2015 Mar. DISCLOSURE PRO, Inc. established as a joint venture to provide disclosure and BPO services (an affiliate of PRONEXUS under the equity method of accounting)
Aug. Business alliance with Business Brain Showa-Ota, Inc. Capital tie-up in December

2017 Apr. Launches full-fledged WORKS-Core as a new service for improving disclosure operation processes
