Social contribution activities

Strengthening initiatives in domains with high relevance to the Company's business

To fulfill our responsibility as a corporate citizen, we make donations, conduct regional contribution activities, as well as undertake research that PRONEXUS is uniquely positioned to do and we provide educational support.

For donations, in addition to providing financial assistance in times of disaster, we continue to support the Japanese Red Cross Society, a Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction project promoted by the Japan Association of Corporate Executives and the Coastal Forest Restoration Project conducted by OISCA International.

We also continue to sponsor Paralym Art, supporting artists with disabilities, and the Japan Para Rowing Association, supporting athletes with disabilities.

PRONEXUS is also strengthening initiatives aimed at transferring to society the expertise we have developed internally. To achieve this goal, we report on research and express our opinions regarding corporate disclosure through the PRONEXUS Financial Disclosure Institute. With the intention of helping to foster young researchers, we began holding the PRONEXUS Essay Contest in 2009. The 2017 contest was the ninth in the series, with a large number of entries received every time.

As a new initiative, we started endowed courses at universities in fiscal 2016 (Meiji Gakuin University, Seijo University and Chuo University, as of October 2017). The courses include 15 lectures and are recognized with credits in the second semester. PRONEXUS prepares the syllabus and course content and one of our employees lectures at the university.

From fiscal 2017, we started sponsoring the Accounting Competition, a seminar-type competition on research findings in accounting and peripheral fields held at the College of Commerce, Nihon University. A PRONEXUS employee serves as judge for the competition.

Enlightening employees, promoting capacity building and nurturing leaders

PRONEXUS plans and promotes CSR activities through 50 members of the CSR Promotion Committee made up of representatives from every division, who also work to build awareness.

At the head office, we participate in events operated by Minato Ward, support and interact with a special support education school and an international kindergarten in the ward, and continue to hold volunteer workshops for employees.

At the Toda Plant, we hold tours for groups for local children as well as take part in local safety patrols and sponsor local events every year. Our social contribution extends to providing paper generated in the printing process in response to needs in Toda City, its Chamber of Commerce and Industry, elementary and junior high schools, and other areas.

The Osaka Branch, Nagoya Branch and the business locations of ASP Communications Co., Ltd. also work to be more dynamic in their CSR activities with participation in events such as regular local clean ups and looking into collaborative projects with NPOs.

PRONEXUS believes that regional contribution activities such as these lead to greater mutual understanding among employees, help to foster leaders and drive changes in awareness.

Boosting employee motivation and implementing plans that contribute to building the corporate culture

PRONEXUS is taking steps to enhance employee motivation through activities that support people who take on challenges.

Meetings to share and support medium-term best practices and achievements in every division are held twice a year.

To give employees a sense of belonging and to boost motivation, we sponsor a variety of sports teams, including the Yokogawa Musashino Atlastars in the Japan Rugby Top East League, and the professional basketball team Toyama Grouses.

We plan and run a send-off party for the Tokyo Marathon as an event supporting employees entering the race.
